Representatives from the public and private health sector collaborate on the conference de career guidance
More than 200 students from School Nursing participated in the different workshops and dynamics of group .
Fresenius Medical Care, Clínica Universidad de Navarra IMQ, Ribera Salud and professionals from the Hospital Complex of Navarra have visited the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra at the framework of the workshop of career guidance. This workshop, which was attended by more than 200 students, was held in the format congress where students were able to choose between different workshops and sessions on how to prepare a curriculum, the importance of communication and conflict resolution, among others.
The private sector explained the selection criteria of staff to the students and explained the professional projects for nurses. For its part, the public sector explained the processes required to prepare for the competitive examinations and the EIR, and how to register at job listings. In addition, students were able to directly ask all their questions at the information tables set up.
The sessions were given by career managers who taught the students how to prepare for an interview at work, the curriculum vitae or the importance of communication. In addition, in the workshops they were able to experience in a more practical way internship the importance of decision making, adaptation to change and self-knowledge.
"The goal of this workshop is to give all students-from 1st to 4th of the Degree-an overview regarding the employment opportunities, so that they make the most of the opportunities that this University offers them during the Degree, and maintain a professional attitude from the first year to the last," says Rocío Núñez, manager of Employability of the School of Nursing. "The conference are an excellent opportunity for employers' search for talent and students' enthusiasm for their first employment to coincide in a university environment," she concludes.
This workshop of career guidance is part of the Employability Plan designed so that throughout the four years of Degree, students can participate in activities, sessions and workshops, international professional visits or congresses, in order to become nursing professionals with added value.
