Los profesores Joe McBride y Javier Novo impartirán dos sesiones de máster sobre ecosistemas urbanos y cáncer
Professors Joe McBride and Javier Novo will give two sessions at Master's Degree on urban ecosystems and cancer.

Next Monday, May 14, Professors Joe McBrice, from the University of Berkeley (USA), and Javier Novo, from the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra, will offer sessions for the Masters in Biodiversity, Landscapes and Sustainable management and research Biomedical, respectively. The quotation with McBride will take place at 16.00 hours (9:00 in Mexico DF/ 23:00 in Hong Kong), and at 17:30 (10:30 in Mexico DF/ 00:30 in Hong Kong), it will be the turn of Novo.
Both presentations can be followed through the web page www.unav.es/sesiononline and at classroom 10 of the Building Science Library. They will be in English and questions can be asked to the speakers, either from the classroom or through a chat that has been set up for this purpose.

Joe McBride is a professor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, and an expert in forest ecology and urban landscaping. His research focuses on the relationships between the ecological characteristics of the biome in which a city occurs and the composition, structure, and function of its urban forest; the implications of global climate change for urban forest tree species selection; or how historical events and cultural attitudes influenced the composition and structure of urban forests.

Javier Novo is professor of Genetics human and of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, and develops his research activity on genetic alterations in hematological cancer. He also has a scientific blog knowledge dissemination (a100ciacierta.com) that has led him to write the book "Genes, microbes and cells" (RBA Libros, 2011) to bring the latest scientific advances to society, and also collaborates regularly with several radio stations in Navarra and the Basque Country.
