The University, issue 1 in Spain and among the 50 best in the world in the QS 2018 Employability Ranking.
For the third consecutive time, the center achieves this position at national level.
The University of Navarra is ranked issue 1 in Spain and 48th in the world in employability, according to the 2018 QS International Ranking published today. This is the third consecutive time that it has achieved the first position at the national level in this study, where 15 other Spanish universities appear among the 500 best university centers worldwide.
For the elaboration of the ranking, QS takes into account five indicators. The University of Navarra leads Spain in three indicators: Graduate Employment Rate, Employer Reputation and Employer-Student Connections. Graduate Employment Rate refers to the rate of employment rate of its students. Employer Reputation is the opinion that employers have of graduates and their attitudes. Employer-Student Connections makes reference letter the criterion that considers the issue of employers present at campus and that offer information, internship opportunities, as well as a first employment to students. As those responsible for the study point out, "the presence of employers on campus increases the chances of getting opportunities for research and internships".
Other scales analyzed in the methodology are: Alumni Outcomes, i.e., the success of graduates during their professional degree program , the positions of relevance achieved and their ability to serve society. Finally, Partnerships with Employers, which establishes the partnership between each academic institution and different companies.
According to Roberto Cabezas, director of Career Services at the University of Navarra, "being issue 1 in Spain in employability is the consequence of a thoughtful strategy of training for employment and of accompaniment in the professional development of our students. We are deeply committed to employment and the employability of our students and alumni.
To this end, we have put a great deal of effort into the training in competencies and in meeting the selection demands of Spanish and foreign companies. Being again issue 1 reinforces our task, challenges us and challenges us to continue taking decisive steps, to continue being leaders in the transfer of university talent to society."
