The meeting, co-organized by GRISO, was attended by 20 speakers from Germany, Spain, the United States and Italy.
The Convegno Internazionale di Studi "Naples and the Hispanic theatrical culture" was recently held in Naples (Italy) , meeting co-organized by the Dipartimento di Lettere e Beni Culturali (insegnamenti di Storia del Teatro e di Drammaturgia dell'età moderna) of the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli, the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra and the Fondazione "Pietà de' Turchini"-Centro di Musica Antica di Napoli, with the partnership of the Library Services Nazionalle "Vittorio Emanuele III" di Napoli, the high school Cervantes of Naples and the Gallerie d'Italia-Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano, Napoli. The Scientific committee of the congress was formed by professors Ignacio Arellano (GRISO-University of Navarra), Francesco Cotticelli (Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli), Paologiovanni Maione (Conservatorio di Musica "S. Pietro a Majella" di Napoli-Fondazione "Pietà de' Turchini") and Carlos Mata Induráin (GRISO-University of Navarra).
The sessions were held in the auditorium of the high school Cervantes in Naples and at the conference room de Raros of the Library Services Nazionalle "Vittorio Emanuele III" di Napoli (Palazzo Reale). The program of the meeting included a total of 20 papers, corresponding to researchers from Germany, Spain, the United States and Italy. The academic part of the congress was completed with the guided visit to the bibliographic and iconographic sample "Il cibo in scena. Banchetti e cuccagne a Napoli in età moderna", coordinated by Gabriella Mansi, located at the conference room of Exhibitions of the Library Services Nazionalle "Vittorio Emanuele III" di Napoli; and with the concert "A la moresca" ( by the Ensemble Daedalus, conducted by Roberto Festa), offered by the Fondazione "Pietà de' Turchini" at the Chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena.
