The XI Solidarity Study Olympiad has raised 35,874 euros at the University of Navarra, with the participation of 5,648 students from campus in Pamplona and San Sebastian, who have transformed their study hours into euros for a solidarity project .

The campaign, organized by the NGO Coopera under the slogan "My study draws your future", has been developed in 12 countries and the money raised will be used for the reconstruction of schools in Haiti, which were devastated after the 2010 earthquake.

The Olympiad, which took place between November 5 and December 5, was held in the different libraries of campus, as well as in halls of residence and university clubs. Students recorded the time they spent studying and the sponsors then converted each hour into one euro to finance cooperation projects linked to Education and training.

The initiative, coordinated by Universitarios por la financial aid Social (UAS) and Tantaka -the Solidarity Time Bank of the University of Navarra-, has as goal to sensitize students to participate with their time and effort staff in a solidarity project .

Of the total money raised at the University of Navarra, 23,095.5 hours belonged to the libraries of campus in Pamplona (5,057 participants) and to campus in San Sebastián 3,281 hours (219 participants): the rest, 9,497.5 hours, were raised in colleges and university clubs (372 participants). The coordinator of Tantaka, Sofía Collantes, highlights the high participation of this edition, "the issue of students in the libraries of the campus of Pamplona has doubled compared to last year".
