Give a rose for Valentine's Day and fight against human trafficking. Show someone how important they are to you and help mothers and children who are victims of this reality. This has been the goal of the solidarity initiative launched by students at the University of Navarra, in partnership Tantaka, for Valentine's Day.
Over the last few days, students have sold a total of 1,500 roses to the university community through social media and campus activities. The money raised will help finance the refurbishment of a shelter for these women, set up by the Human Trafficking Delegation of the Archdiocese of Pamplona and Tudelain the Navarran capital. Some of the daily expenses of these families will also be covered.
The idea for this initiative came from Valeria Guerrero, a fourth-year law and international relations student, in partnership , the University of Navarra's solidarity time bank. She was joined by eight other students: Ana Lorenza Uribe, Martina Gómez, María Magdalena Sánchez,Luis Pavón,Andrés Marcelo Lara, Mar Martínez,Andrea Armesto, and Cayetana Mur.
On Valentine's Day eve, students handed out roses on the grounds of the School Communication and the area , and at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love campus.
