The students of the Initiation to Oil Painting Workshop of the University of Navarra, taught by the painter Cristina del Rosso, culminated the course with an outdoor painting workshop at Bodegas Otazu on April 2. After a morning of work they were able to participate in a visit to the Otazu estate, which includes, among others, its 16th century palace and the Romanesque church of San Esteban. They then toured the winery facilities and had the opportunity to do a wine tasting.

The workshops, organized by the area of Cultural Activities Office and directed by the professor of Architecture Inmaculada Jiménez, fully covered their places, 15 per module. They were held from September 18 to November 20, 2010 and from January 15 to April 2, 2011, first and second module respectively. The university students, from the new Study program, who have taken them have the possibility of opting for 1 ECTS credit.

Those interested in participating in the workshops for beginners in oil painting or painting, also open to the general public, but with priority for university students, should wait for the program for the next academic year 2011-2012.

Outdoor painting at Señorío de Otazu

14 participants enjoyed the sunny morning of April 2 to carry out an outdoor oil painting session. Accompanied by their teacher, the painter Cristina del Rosso, they chose the corners or areas of the landscape to capture them on canvas.

Those interested in participating in the introductory workshops in oil painting or painting, also open to the general public, but with priority for university students, should wait for the programming of the next academic year 2011-2012 at area of Cultural Activities Office.

In the next few days, Cultural Activities Office will publish information on the Masters of Figuration Workshop, given by the great painter Antonio López.
