45 University students receive Caja Rural de Navarra Global Scholarships

45 students from the University of Navarra have received the "Global Internship by Caja Rural de Navarra Scholarships", granted by the financial institution and coordinated by FEUN and the University's Internship Service and employment . The program encourages university students, born or registered in Navarra, the Basque Country or La Rioja, to carry out professional internships in non-EU countries. In this edition, the destinations of the students have been Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, USA, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Mexico, Nicaragua, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Uruguay.

The submission of diplomas to the students has been framed in the act of signature of the agreement of the academic center with Caja Rural de Navarra, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The president María Iraburu has presented a plaque to the president of the entity, Ignacio Terés Los Arcos, to commemorate the silver anniversary of this partnership whose goal is to promote activities of training, mobility sustainable, sports, solidarity, etc. that contribute to the development of the Navarrese society and in particular of its young university students.

In addition to the Global scholarships, the agreement includes a contribution to the "Women's scientific, technological and social leadership" program for female students from Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja who wish to study Alumni ScholarshipsThe Global scholarships, within the program "Women's scientific, technological and social leadership", for female students from Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja who wish to study Degrees in the bio-health and technical fields, as well as the double Degree in Law and Philosophy.

The agreement also subscribes to support the sustainable mobility of the University's employees and students. To this end, the academic center has joined the project promoted by the City Council of Pamplona by installing a recharging base for 42 electric bicycles and it is planned to install two more. In addition, special discount vouchers will be launched to encourage the use of this type of transport.

On the other hand, the agreement contemplates an item for the promotion of sports internship , specifically for the participation of students in the Spanish University Championships, as well as support for volunteer activities activities that the University carries out through Tantaka.

25 years of positive impact in Navarra

The president of Caja Rural de Navarra, Ignacio Terés Los Arcos, said: "Fulfilling 25 years of partnership with the University is an example of commitment and responsibility of both entities with the training and society. Javier Cervera, student of the School of Education and Psychology who did his internship between January and March of this year in India, has shown his gratitude to Caja Rural de Navarra for this significant economic financial aid that makes it possible "to live an experience that will undoubtedly be of great financial aid for our professional degree program and our life staff".
