Researchers from the United States, Mexico, France and Spain meet quotation at an international symposium organised by the group TriviUN

The Casa de Velázquez in Madrid hosted the V International Symposium "Panhispania festiva (I): teatro, fasto y celebración en el Siglo de Oro", organised by the group Teatro, Literatura y Cultura Visual (TriviUN) of the School de Philosophy y Letras of the University. The meeting, held on 29 and 30 June, brought together some twenty researchers from the United States, Mexico, France and Spain.
The symposium, coordinated by Miguel Zugasti and Ana Zúñiga, from TriviUN, and with the support of Luis González, from Casa de Velázquez, and Florence D'Artois, from the Sorbonne University, analysed issues related to theatre and festivities in the pan-Hispanic sphere. The presentations by the specialists were complemented by the presentation of recent publications on the topic study of meeting . In addition, the invited researchers were also able to enjoy a concert at position by Denis Chevallier and Enrique Pastor.
This event is part of TriviUN's partnership agreement with Casa de Velázquez and the Sorbonne-Paris IV University, institutions with which the three-year (2022-24) project "Panhispania festiva: celebración, patrimonio, mentalidades" (Festive Panhispania: celebration, heritage, mentalities) is being developed. During this period, joint publications and various activities are planned to take place at the Madrid headquarters of Casa de Velázquez.
