The students of the subject Quality Management of the Degree of ADE -most of them students of the exchange program, of 20 different nationalities- went to the assembly plant of Aernnova Aerostructures, in Berantevilla (Álava), to learn first-hand how this Spanish company business manages quality, leader in the design and manufacture of aerostructures, such as wings, stabilizers and fuselages in both metal and composites, for the world's leading manufacturers of airplanes and helicopters, such as Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer and Sikorsky.

During the visit, accompanied by professors José Antonio Alfaro and José Enrique Arizón, the 39 students had the opportunity to see in situ how quality is implemented in a real business , and to verify that the same tools studied theoretically at class are used and play an important role in the company's competitive strategy.

The students were divided into two groups to tour the different assembly stations of the plant, guided by Santiago Azcárraga, Senior Vice-president Quality & Lean at AERNNOVA AEROSPACE and Brigi Corta (TECNUN'00), Head of Engineering and Quality at the factory. Previously, both made a presentation of group, the plant and the main aspects of AERNNOVA's integrated quality system.
