Three students from high school Miravalles-El Redín win a competition from the University with a video in English about tourism in Pamplona.

The VIII edition of Vidiomas, organized by ISSA School of Applied Management, has received 395 videos in English, French and German from students of high school diploma and 4th of ESO

The 1st year students of high school diploma of high school Miravalles-El Redín of Pamplona Sofía Bergasa, Loreto Viñeta and Eugenia Moratinos have been the winners of the VIII edition of the contest Vidiomas of the University of Navarra with the video made in English under the title 'Pamplona is waiting for you! degree scroll Pamplona is waiting for you!'. The competition, organized by ISSA School of Applied Management, which has focused on this occasion on showing the tourism of the city itself, received 395 videos from 68 centers from 25 provinces recorded in English, French and German.

The winning team, Errekas, was tutored by Professor Amparo Ollaquindia and was one of 261 videos submitted in English. There were 104 in French and 30 in German. The goal of the contest is that students put in internship languages, improve their communication skills, learn to work in teams and use digital tools to do so.

"They have a quasi-native level in terms of phonetics and intonation. In addition, the video is very well organized, is attractive and responds to what was requested in the contest instructions : in addition to highlighting the aspects of tourism in Pamplona, analyze the economic impact of tourism itself and even the pandemic. This is how the jury of competition, composed of professors of Degree in management Applied-Applied Management, explains the reasons why they have chosen the winning video. This evaluation counted for 75%, while the remaining 25% depended on the votes on YouTube.

The award for the three students and the teacher manager of the team is a card gift from El Corte Inglés for an amount of 100€ each. In addition, their entire class will be able to enjoy a "creative workshop" at the University of Navarra Museum.

From Tarragona to San Lorenzo de El Escorial

In second place was "Tarragona, a land of Roman Heritage".from high school/IES Institució Tarragona Turó, of which the jury highlighted "its quality as a video, it is attractive and has the best editing: it makes you want to go there for tourism". The third place went to the video about San Lorenzo de El Escorial made by the team Reporters around the world, from high school Villa de Griñón (Madrid). "They presented the city in a very attractive way and with a high level of English, they were grade at ease in front of the camera," explains the jury about the video.

The accredited specialization for the best video in French for "Sur le Chemin de Saint-Jacques". went to the Sables d'or team formed by students from the high school Liceo Monjardín de Pamplona "for their pronunciation, intonation, fluency and for presenting an orderly speech ". As for the best in German, the one chosen "for its good technique, photography, music and an excellent level of the language" has been "Ideales Reiseziel: Marbella".produced by the CarMa TV team at high school Las Chapas in Marbella.

In addition, Sara Macaya, Claudia Revert and Jorge Aracil (high school Agora high school Lledó International School of Castellón) have result winners of the draw organized among the videos submitted with How to survive in Castellón in 2021to participate in the summer course in English "International Management Worldwhich will take place from June 21 to 24 and will be held both in person (Campus in Pamplona) and online.
