The Motu Proprio Mitis Iudexproclaimed by Pope Francis in September 2015 focuses the seven programs of study of issue 111, volume 56, of Ius Canonicumthe journal edited by high school Martín de Azpilcueta of the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra, corresponding to the month of June 2016.

Professors Carlos M. Morán, Carmen Peña, Pedro A. Moreno, Julián Ros, Rafael Rodríguez-Ocaña, Gerardo Nuñez and Javier Ferrer, in almost 200 pages, describe the challenges of the procedural reform of the nullity of marriage; how the canonical processes of matrimonial nullity have been streamlined; what juridical-pastoral aspects should accompany the service of prejudicial inquiry; what role does the figure of the judicial vicar and play in the process of matrimonial nullity; what are the most relevant novelties that the document introduces in the topics of the canonical processes of matrimonial nullity; what is the role of the judicial vicar and the judicial vicar in the process of matrimonial nullity; what role does the figure of the judicial vicar and the trainer play in the process of matrimonial nullity, the most relevant novelties that the document introduces in the topics of skill and appeal of the sentence; what are the requirements and the structure of the abbreviated process according to the current legislation and what circumstances can give rise to this abbreviated process.
