"AI is a financial aid, not a decision maker."
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly and profoundly transforming the employment landscape. Jesús López Fidalgo, director of the Institute of Science of the data and Artificial Intelligence (DATAI) at the University of Navarra and team member of IA+Igual, stresses the importance of employers and employees adapting quickly to take advantage of this technology.
In the Human Resources field, AI offers multiple advantages in the management of talent, but it should not be seen as a substitute for decision making, but rather as a tool that complements and improves traditional methods. The technology can identify gaps in business and help define the profile of employees needed, thus optimizing selection process and talent retention. However, the successful implementation of AI in human resources requires an appropriate technical knowledge and a continuous training of staff.
