The high school Martín de Azpilcueta of the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra has prepared the eighth edition of the annotated Canon Law Code.

This is an updated edition: eight years after the seventh edition, modifications have been made to several canons of the Code. It also introduces novelties in the text of two legislative documents included in the book's appendix : the one referring to the election of the Roman Pontiff and the one dealing with the Roman Curia. The legislative initiatives that have brought about these changes have been due to Benedict XVI, the current Pope Emeritus, and Pope Francis. This edition has also been used to correct some minor typos.  

The book was published last month and is an updated sample of the excellent tool of work and study that has been the Code of Canon Law annotated, whose first edition is dated August 1983 and published by EUNSA.
