On October 30 and November 6, conference Sectorial was held at the ISSA School of Applied Management under the title degree scroll "Keys to organize tournaments worldwide". Thanks to this program, throughout the seven semesters of degree program (in the eighth semester students do exchange Academic or Curricular Internships), students can learn about the particularities and opportunities of different sectors, as well as the professional profile of each area that is addressed: International Trade and Logistics, Human Resources, management Fashion Business, Tourism and Hospitality, Entrepreneurship...

The discussion paper of October 30, which was held at plenary session of the Executive Council at classroom B1 of Amigos Building, revolved around two central themes: the Davis Cup: "The Challenge of Organizing a World Tennis Event" and "The Organizational Challenges of the 2030 World Cup". For the first part, Laura Puelinckx, Senior Business Analyst, and Alicia Muro, Business Associate at TENNIUM, spoke on topics such as the organization of the Davis Cup or the farewell of Rafael Nadal. Then, on behalf of the Spanish Football Federation, we were visited by María Tato, member of the committee Technical Committee of the 2030 World Cup bid. She explained how an event of this caliber, which involves international communication ─in this case, with Portugal and Morocco─ affects society.

The conference of the first semester of the course 24/25 was closed with the discussion paper on the organization of sports venues such as the Navarra Arena and the degree program Larra-Larrau cycling . The talk was given by María Urzainqui, Coordinator of management of Events and María José Baena, member of department of Strategic Projects of NICDO. The meeting took place in the same classroom of Amigos Building and was very well received by the student body.

Laura Puelinckx and Alicia MuroTENNIUM is an experienced business in sports, where close partnership with players, global brands and investors at development is essential. The company draws on its expertise to excel in global business, including areas such as consumer marketing and development branding, mergers and acquisitions.

"Track entertainment is core topic. Today, everything revolves around the realm of 'experiences'. Hosting a tennis tournament is not just about being able to watch Alcaraz hit the ball, it's so much more, everything that goes along with that viewing."

"Look and feel is a little bit our way of thinking. The first impression people get is very important. For us it is core topic that everything has harmony, both in terms of ethics, typography, colors... These are things that may not stand out at first glance, but clearly make a difference in events of this caliber".

Maria Tato

Maria Tato"We have to work with technical criteria, and we will be evaluated on this. But there are also political interests. This is not just about sports clubs, this is about cities. Cities are references. All this may sound Chinese to you, but it is going to be a reality in the coming years.

"The biggest difficulty has not been economic, but the problem has been the selection of cities and venues. A World Cup affects everything: politics, Economics, infrastructure... This is the World Cup of sustainability, and that is why we will not allow these cities to generate a large carbon footprint or brutal pollution".

"Projects like this are cross-cutting, they affect everything. And yet we have made an effort not to lose sight of the sporting objectives of the event at any time. Since this is still a sporting event".
