El Gótico, topic of a new edition of the series that the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado organizes in Pamplona, at partnership with the University of Navarra.

It will be held on Wednesdays January 24 and 31, February 7 and 14, at 7:00 p.m., at the Museo Universidad de Navarra.

The Prado Museum returns to Navarre for another year thanks to the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado and the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra. Sponsored by Viscofan and with the partnership of the Museum of the University of Navarra and the Diario de Navarra Foundation, the VIII edition of the lecture series Francisco Calvo Serraller will focus on "The splendors of the Gothic. The art of the last Age average".

Four great experts in this period of art will take attendees into the sophistication of 15th-century art, a period in which European courts promoted some of the most brilliant manifestations of medieval art. The sessions will take place on Wednesdays January 24 and 31, February 7 and 14, at 7:00 p.m., in the theater of the University of Navarra Museum.

Joan Molina, Head of department of Spanish Gothic Painting at the Prado Museum and director of this edition, will be in charge of giving the first session, which will be degree scroll "Between reality and dream. Court art in the twilight of the Age average". position The second session lecture will be given by Josefina Planas, professor of Art History at the University of Lérida, who will talk about "Courtly leisure in The Very Rich Hours of Jean de Berry". Fernando Gutiérrez Baños, Full Professor of Art History at the University of Valladolid, will give the third session, which will focus on "Kings and nobles. A look at the Gothic painting of the Prado Museum". The series will end with discussion paper by Javier Barón, Head of Conservation of 19th Century Painting at the Prado Museum, entitled "The fascination for the leave Age average in 19th century painting".

The price of the complete cycle is 60 euros. The following groups have a special price of 48 euros, previous accreditation and withdrawal of tickets in the locker of the Museum University of Navarre: academic staff and students of the University of Navarre; Friends of the Museum University of Navarre and Friends of the Prado Museum; Alumni University of Navarre; academic staff of Secondary school and high school diplomaUniversity students from other centers (UNED, UPNA and other universities); and seniors over 65 years of age. Single sessions can also be purchased for a price of 20 euros.
