CIMA LAB Diagnostics has extensive and varied experience in the use of a panel of 52 genes that have clinical value for solid tumors. 

This panel consists of an NGS (next generation sequencing) tool and includes multiple biomarkers located in 52 genes that have predictive value for adult solid tumors, either markers that have an associated drug, are in international guidelines or are markers of participation in clinical trials.

This 52-gene analysis test can be performed on any subject from sample, either fresh material, paraffin-embedded or from cytology, with a very high cost-effectiveness and obtaining results in a deadline that is compatible with its use in the daily clinical internship . The use of these genetic high performing tools ensures optimal use of the sample, reduces analysis times and includes all types of alterations (mutations, amplifications and translocations) that are determinant for cancer treatment.

In addition to the existing indications, the most recent results reported at the meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO, June 2017) indicate that this subject of tools are going to prevail in the management of other tumors such as some sarcomas, cholangiocarcinomas and GIST, not only of adults, but pediatric, since there are new drugs that can be used in these types of tumors, previously orphaned from targeted treatments, in case they present rearrangements of TRK genes.

The Genomics Unit of CIMA LAB Diagnostics has experience based on the analysis of more than 200 adult solid tumors that allows us to perform not only the analysis but also a complete clinical report that includes the interpretation of the alterations found as well as their clinical indication.
