Francisco Mangado gives several lectures in Australia, invited by the Australian Architects' Association high school

The International Speaker Series features renowned architects from around the world.

Francisco Mangado, professor at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, has given four lectures in Australia at the invitation of the Australian Architects high school , at framework of the International Speakers Series. Specifically, he spoke at the University of Technology, Sydney; at the Library Services of the State of Queensland, in Brisbane; at the Treasury Theatre, in Melbourne, and at the University of Western Australia, in Perth.

The International Speakers Series invites renowned architects from around the world to speak and discuss architecture in these four cities.

Francisco Mangado (Navarra, 1957) is an architect by the technical school of Architecture of the University of Navarra, where he has been a professor since 1982. In the field of teaching, he has also been visiting professor at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and Eero Saarinen Visiting Professor of Architecture at School of Architecture at Yale University. He is currently visiting professor at EPFL Lausanne. In 2008 he created the Architecture and Society Foundation.

International prestige
He has received numerous prestigious national and international awards, such as the award FAD 2004, Construmat 2009, the award National Architecture Award in 2009, the award Copper in 2009, the Giancarlo Ius Gold Medal awarded by the UIA and the 'Chicago Athenaeum 2011'. He has also been appointed as an international honorary member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

Some of his most important works are the cultural center and church in Thiene (Italy), the Baluarte auditorium in Pamplona, the place Pey Berland in Bordeaux, the Municipal Exhibition and Conference Center in Avila, the Archaeological Museum in Vitoria, the soccer stadium in Palencia and the Spanish pavilion at the Zaragoza Expo 2008.
