MINT students learn with WAYRA how to create an innovation ecosystem with tech startups

In the framework of the subject of Innovation Ecosystems, the students of the Master's Degree in Technological Innovation have shared four intense conference training internship with the Wayra team about the life cycle of a startup, its funding milestones and core topic aspects of the negotiation with investors.
Wayra is Telefónica's open innovation hub whose mission statement is to connect group and its customers with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. With a presence in 7 hubs and activities in 10 countries in Europe and Latin America, goal helps startups to grow on a global scale.
"Nobody better than Andrés Saborido, Global Managing Director of Wayra, and Paloma Spanish, Director of Wayra Madrid, to introduce our students to the world of Corporate Venture, in which large international corporations partner with agile technology startups in a win-win strategy," said María Isabel Rodríguez, director of Master's Degree of Technological Innovation that Tecnun teaches in Madrid. Through these collaborations, corporations make their innovation more agile and disruptive and in return offer startups fundamental support to scale their business internationally.

The week has culminated with the students' final presentation of their own technological entrepreneurship ideas based on technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing or Blockchain and with application in different sectors such as the service sector, sports or retail. "The experience has been most enriching," said Rodríguez.
