result Sergio Gómez and María Monllor, 4th year ESO students from IES place de la Cruz in Pamplona, have won and runner up in the painting contest 'Awakening Creativity', organized by the artistic association Izpiritu Aortzailea with the partnership of department of Education of the Regional Government, and the School of Architecture and the Service of Cultural Activities Office of the University of Navarra.
Both received a diploma and the winner an easel and painting equipment. The jury of the contest was composed of the painters Juan José Aquerreta, Pedro Salaberri, Cristina del Rosso and José Jesús Lorenzo; the teacher of the School of Architecture Inmaculada Jiménez; the president of the Morrás Cebrián Foundation, Miguel Echarri; and the representative of the department of Education, Begoza Severino. The prizes were presented by the counselor of Education, José Iribas, in the presence of teachers and relatives of the participants.
In the first edition of the contest, 189 works were submitted from 14 schools in the region. Both the topic and the theme and technique were free and students from Education Primary to those attending programs of study university could participate.
