The I workshop of Innovation for a Person Centered Care is celebrated.
Last June 15 took place the I workshop of Innovation for a Person Centered Care (ICCP) organized by the group of research of the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra which gives its name to the workshop
The main objectives of this first workshop were to get to know and deepen the model interpersonal relationship between the nurse and the cared person or family (model of Nursing of the University of Navarra), to show that this is based on a person-centered care and the reflection and dialogue among the participants.
Among the participants were people from different professional fields: from the academic field, professors from different universities attended; from the healthcare field, nurses from different hospitals in Navarra and the Basque Country attended the event, including nurse managers who also gave a different point of view; and also members of the board of the high school Oficial de Enfermería de Navarra.
Attendees were able to listen, reflect and discuss the model and the impact it is having on both the nursing professional internship and research. Also on how the knowledge that is being developed modifies the vision and attention to care that nurses are giving, and how it influences healthcare organizations and the environment of the internship care.
This is the first workshop to be held but the group of research of Innovation for Person-Centered Care intends for it to become an annual workshop where professionals from different fields of nursing continue to meet in an atmosphere of reflection and dialogue.
