Tres profesores de las Facultades Eclesiásticas de la Universidad de Navarra participan en un congreso en Roma sobre el papel de los laicos en la Iglesia
Three professors from Schools Ecclesiastical participate in a congress in Rome on the role of the laity.
They are José Ramón Villar and Ramiro Pellitero, from the School de Teología; and María Blanco, from the School de Canon Law
Professors José Ramón Villar and Ramiro Pellitero, from the School of Theology; and María Blanco, from the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra, spoke at the congress 'The Lay Faithful: Reality and Perspectives', held at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Rome).
The goal of the event was to reflect in depth on the current state of the vocation and the mission statement of the laity in the Church, as well as to seek perspectives of lay commitment in the social sphere.
José Ramón Villar and María Blanco participated in a roundtable together with Professor Sergio Belardinelli, from the University of Bologna. Professor Villar gave a talk at lecture under the title degree scroll "Elements for outlining the identity of the laity" and Professor Blanco spoke on "Protecting the Christian identity of the laity". Professor Pellitero also presented the paper "Lay secularity in our time".
Other experts such as Paola Binetti, Cristina De Luca, Savino Pezzotta and Eugenia Roccella also spoke at congress .
