50 students awarded scholarships by Fundación business Universidad de Navarra and Caja Rural

Fundación business -University of Navarra (FEUN) and Caja Rural have awarded 50 scholarships for international internships. The students selected in this fifth edition of the Global Internship Program, from the different Schools of the academic center, will travel in summer to countries such as Australia, China, the United States, the Philippines, India, Jordan, Peru or Vietnam, among others. The beneficiaries will receive funding amounting to 1,400 euros.

The Vice President of the University of Navarra, Tomás Gómez-Acebo; the president of Caja Rural, José Luis Barriendo; and the director General Manager of FEUN, Cristina Muñoz, presented the scholarships to the students.

This program, co-financed by the two entities, aims to promote professional internships in foreign companies and promote the internationalization of the students of the academic center. For the selection of the scholarship recipients, the academictranscript , the level of the language of the country of destination, the curriculum and the quality of the work plan offered by the host business .

The president of Caja Rural de Navarra has highlighted the uninterrupted support of the Caja for more than 20 years to the University of Navarra through different programs. He also congratulated the students who have obtained the scholarships for their efforts and encouraged them to continue with an outstanding career. Finally, he reinforced Caja Rural de Navarra's commitment to Education and to young people, both through these programs and through the large number of students who do their internships at Caja Rural each year.

On the other hand, the Vice President of the University of Navarra, Tomás Gómez-Acebo, congratulated the scholarship recipients for passing the selection process and encouraged them to "Make the most of this opportunity and be good ambassadors of the University". 

During the ceremony, the student Sofía Idoate told about her Global experience last summer and gave some advice to the future scholarship recipients. This will help you a lot in the future as this is what companies need".

The 50 Global Internship Program scholarships are in addition to 16 other scholarships awarded by Caja Rural and FEUN during the 2013-14 academic year. These 16 additional scholarships will be awarded to students and graduates who will carry out internships in Consulates and Embassies during the summer and will receive a €600 financial aid to finance their internships.
