Javier Andreu lecture , professor of Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Navarra, gave a lecture on Wednesday, May 18, at degree scroll 'Learning and Service and the conservation of heritage: an experience in Los Bañales'. In it, the professor explained the archaeological project that is carried out in the Roman site located in Los Bañales, in the town of Uncastillo, Zaragoza.

This session is part of Civic Parliamentan initiative promoted by the School of Education and Psychology and the Parliament of Navarra. The lecture had as goal, as the professor pointed out, "to review the formative strategies that are carried out in the Bañales".

Andreu explained the origin of these deposits as well as the findings that have been found in these nine years of work. "The global goal of this project is not only to excavate, but to be able to generate a structure of work in which the excavation and research serve to disseminate knowledge, thus creating an identification of the surrounding society with project and that in turn, it collaborates by disseminating and safeguarding the area of research".

The professor highlighted the project of training that the site offers to both student body school-age and university students. Nearly 600 university students have already received a transversal training , developing basic skills for history students, such as excavation, identification and cataloguing of finds, and have been able to develop other skills, such as communication skills.
