The University of Navarra Cancer Center celebrates its I Translational Symposium research
The meeting shared the objectives and challenges of research faced by the professionals of the academic center against the disease.
The University of Navarra Cancer Center (CCUN) has held in Pamplona its I Translational Symposium research , aimed at all professionals in the field of cancer. Clínica Universidad de Navarraof the Cima and of the Schools of the biomedical area of the academic center, with the goal to share the objectives and challenges of their research work on cancer. Specifically, it has been "an opportunity to meet and promote the interaction of the professionals who make up the center, as well as an opportunity to identify and enhance synergies between the disciplines involved in the treatment and research of cancer," said Dr. Antonio Gonzalez, director executive of the CCUN.
The Cancer Center is a joint initiative of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, the Cima and the Schools of the area biomedical (Medicine, Pharmacy and Nutrition, Science and Nursing) that combines the experience of more than 30 years of research basic and clinical cancer with the goal to promote the research and attendance medical oncology through a comprehensive and interdisciplinary vision of cancer. Its aim is to offer the best clinical care to patients and to provide new knowledge that contributes to overcoming the disease.
The CCUN is structured in 11 oncological areas, 9 areas of research transversal and 9 support units. A model of work multidisciplinary with which it aims to advance in the fight against cancer through an updated knowledge of the disease and advanced technology for its treatment.
