MCPC students visit political parties and institutions in Madrid

They had the opportunity to learn how communication works in Moncloa, the CGPJ, congress de los Diputados, the PP, the PSOE and group Santander.

The students of the Master's Degree in Political and Corporate Communication(MCPC) went to Madrid between November 12 and 14 to learn about the functioning of the communication Departments of public institutions, political parties and large companies. In addition, the students were able to share a dinner with former MCPC student Daniel Mehrad, consultant Senior Public Affairs and Lobby at Political Intelligence and with Julio Somoano, presenter of El discussion of La 1 and former director of news at TVE.

During the afternoon of November 12, the visit and session of work took place in La Monclova. La Moncloa. The Director General of Communications of the Government of Spain, Consuelo Sánchez Vicente, explained the communication strategies of the executive and its relationship with the media. The day culminated with a dinner with former MCPC student , Daniel Mehrad, who is currently working in the capital and spoke to the students about lobbying in Spain.

On Thursday 13, the students had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Partido Popular in Calle Génova, where they were received by the director of Telegenia's department , Jorge Rábago. The workshop continued at committee General del Poder Judicial y del Tribunal Supremo, where the director of Communication, Agustín Zurita, attended one more year to group in his visit.

In the evening, the MCPC team shared a table with director and presenter of El discussion de La 1, Julio Somoano, who spoke about political communication from a journalist's perspective.

The intense Madrid Plan culminated on Friday 14th with the visit to the financial city of group Santander, where they had a session of work with the director of International Corporate Affairs of Banco Santander, Mr. José María Robles. To conclude, MCPC students were received by Sebastián Cebrián, director General of Dircom.
