The University of Navarra hosted the regional phase of the Biology Olympiad, in which 103 students from 23 schools competed. The students were mostly 2nd year students and some first year students. high school diploma and some first year students.
The schools and institutes participating in this phase were IES Basoko, Jesuitas, El Huerto, Askatasuna BHI, Carmelitas, Dominicas, Sta. Teresa de Jesús, El Redín, IES Padre Moret-Irubide, IES Navarro Villoslada, IES Ribera del Arga, IES Sancho III El Mayor, IES Ibaialde, Irabia, Izaga, Liceo Monjardín, Luis Amigó, Miravalles, Sagrado Corazón, Ikastola San Fermín, San Cernin, San Francisco Javier (Tudela) and Maristas.
The national phase will be held at the Universitat de les Illes Balears, in Palma de Mallorca from 28 to 31 March 2019. The first three classified in the Navarre phase, which will be known next week, will enter the national phase.
