A graduate of the University of Navarra achieves 55th place in the spanish psychology residency program

Ignacio Samaniego, from San Sebastian, has reached 55th place in the Resident Intern Psychologist exam. The graduate of the School of Education and Psychology of the University of Navarra has obtained one of the 274 places announced by the Ministry of Health to which 3,846 candidates aspired.
During the degree program Ignacio Samaniego discovered that he was very interested in research, but he also "felt that after finishing the degree program I should dedicate a few years to becoming a psychotherapist to see if I liked it as much or more than research. That's why I decided to do the spanish psychology residency program and start with the clinical internship ". Her training at the School of Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra has been a core topic in her preparation: "The four years of training have helped me a lot in preparing for the spanish psychology residency program . They have always put a lot of emphasis on being disciplined, constant and keeping everything up to date. The consolidation of this study habit has allowed me not to suffer so much from having to sit in front of the manuals for so long. Also, the contents of the degree program have helped me to have a good base with which to begin my preparation."
Throughout his preparation, the attitude with which he approached this exam was core topic "the first thing was the mentality with which I approached the civil service examination Since it was a purely competitive exam, my goal was to do better than the others, i.e. to study to get the first place. However, despite the initial motivation, he had to face the difficulties inherent in such a long process. " discipline and consistency are very important. No one likes to sit for 8 hours studying with the constant doubt of getting the place or not."
For Ignacio, organization was another key to his success: "Every day I would review what I had done the day before and, at the end of the week, everything I had studied that week". Thanks to this he was able to stay focused and constantly review the extensive civil service examination syllabus. All this effort and perseverance paid off, "It's the greatest satisfaction I've ever felt. Only my partner knows what it has cost me over the years, all the sacrifices I have made and how much he has helped me to achieve my goals."
Ignacio Samaniego feels deeply satisfied with everything he has achieved, both professionally and as a staff "when I finally processed that it was issue 55 and that I had not made a mistake, I called my partner and my family to tell them".
