200 NYU Stern School of Business Students Study at IESE module
The academic program has been coordinated by the School of Economics.
A group of 200 students from the NYU Stern School of Business have completed an academic module of the 'International Studies Program-Europe' at IESE in Barcelona. This initiative is part of the agreement of partnership that New York University and School of Economics of the University of Navarra have as partners for exchange of students.
During the previous months, the participants studied in depth the knowledge of Spain from a triple approach: political, economic and cultural, as well as the status of five companies: Fluidra S.A., Bodegas Torres S.A., group Damm, Grifols S.A. and Banco Sabadell. Once in Barcelona, from March 12 to 16, the NYU students followed an academic-cultural program that included a visit to visit to the companies analyzed.
Nuria Mas, a professor at IESE School of Science School at the University of Navarra, and Antonio Moreno, Associate Dean the School of Science and Business, each led a session on the Spanish economic landscape and the financial crisis in Europe. Students also had the opportunity to hear about the experience of Ferrán Nogué, graduate the University of Navarra’s School of Engineering and an IESE MBA, at Holaluz. His business idea, supported by Barcelona Activa-Do it in Barcelona, is an online electricity retailer and was presented as an example of project .
