The Science Museum of the University of Navarra creates a new category in its scientific film festival for schools in the Comunidad Foral.

All schools in Navarre are eligible to apply before October 30, 2024 for works produced since January 1, 2021.

The Science Museum of the University of Navarra is already preparing the 6th edition of #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival, the competition international science film festival that this year will take place in Pamplona from February 25 to March 1.

One of the novelties of this festival for its 6th edition is the creation of a new category that seeks to encourage the participation of schools in the region (Best production made by students residing in the region of Navarra). Bienvenido León, director of the Festival, assures that the goal of this category is to encourage scientific communication among young people in Navarra: "For young people, video is the favorite content subject to get information about any topic topic. Therefore, it is also an excellent way to access science".

Along with this new category are the festival's usual categories: documentary or reportage, TV program, web or social media video, student production, and work produced or co-produced by a university or research center.

The Science Museum of the University of Navarra has opened the deadline to register productions for the competition of this new edition and works can be submitted until June 14, 2024 (October 30 in the case of this new category). You can consult the instructions and make the registration through the festival's website.

#LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival is an international science film festival competition , promoted by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra -with the support of partnership de Seguros de Salud ACUNSA-Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Fundación Caja Navarra, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) / Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Government of Navarra, the City Council of Pamplona, Laboral Kutxa, and the Lilly Foundation. In its fifth edition it received 1,442 productions from 108 countries.
