The University of Navarra, sixth in Spain according to a world ranking of universities

The University of Navarra is ranked sixth in Spain, according to the "QS World University Rankings 2010", in which it is placed 353rd worldwide. The academic center has improved its position with respect to the 2009 ranking, in which it obtained issue 381.
In this year's edition, it is only surpassed by the Spanish universities of Barcelona (148th in the ranking), Autónoma de Barcelona (173rd), Autónoma de Madrid (213th), Complutense (269th) and Pompeu Fabra (336th).
Likewise, in the ranking by subject, its presence in the area of Life Sciences and Medicine stands out, where it obtains the 280th place of the best universities in the world. These lists are based on programs of study completed by more than 15,000 academics, who identify the centers that produce the best research in their own fields of knowledge and within their area of specialization.
The "QS World University Rankings 2010", which includes ten Spanish institutions, is led by the British university of Cambridge, followed by the American universities Harvard, Yale and UCL (University College London). The ranking, which includes the 500 best universities in the world, takes into account various criteria, including quality at research, the level of graduate recruitment, and commitment at teaching and internationally.
