The University of Navarra launches the first bilingual program in Spain that introduces students from School of Architecture to research and teaching

14 Architecture and Engineering students from Building are taking the second edition of this set of activities that has six specialties.

This year, 14 Architecture and Engineering students from Building at the University of Navarra are taking part in the Research Training Program (RTP), a series of activities to introduce students to the research and teaching university. It is the only Spanish school to offer this program, which is conducted in English and includes 100 hours of work from student plus others dedicated to training.

Building The RTP, which begins its second edition this year, consists of six specialties: Building Restoration, Fire Safety, Hospital Engineering, Timber Construction, design Virtual Design and management Water and Energy Building.

Each of the RTP students has a tutor staff from the School of Architecture, with whom he/she designs the work plan, which includes the partnership on research projects and on the teaching, as well as the elaboration of an abstract or a poster for a congress.

Support from national agencies
"The RTP has a triple goal : to motivate Architecture and Engineering students at Building to do research, promote the training of future doctoral students, and to get students to understand the process of participating in an impactful congress or academic publication before finishing their programs of study", says Professor César Martín Gómez, coordinator of the program.

The Research Training Program of the University of Navarra counts with the support of partnership of the Emergency Agency of Navarra, association de Empresarios de la Madera de Navarra (ADEMAN), association Española de Climatización y Refrigeración (ATECYR), association Forestal de Navarra (Foresna), CEITNational Renewable Energy Center (CENER), Clínica Universidad de NavarraGovernment of Navarra and Viviendas de Navarra S.A. (Vinsa).
