ISSA Patron Saint Celebration

The students of campus in Donostia-San Sebastian celebrated last Wednesday, November 19, the day of their patron saint, St. Elizabeth of Hungary. The students from Pamplona joined the celebration and took advantage of the occasion to visit the ISSA headquarters in this city.

Last Wednesday, November 19, on the occasion of the celebration in Donostia-San Sebastián of St. Elizabeth of Hungary, patron saint of the University of Navarra, the ISSA University of Navarravarious activities were organized in which both 3rd and 4th grade students, who continue their programs of study at campus, as well as 1st and 2nd grade students were able to enjoy. The 1st and 2nd year students organized a bus from Pamplona to celebrate with their veterans the day of their patron saint and to get to know the ISSA headquarters in San Sebastian.

The workshop began at 13h. with a Holy Mass in honor of the Patron Saint, celebrated by the chaplain D. Rafael Hernández Urigüen. Then, in the hall of the building, students and teachers had lunch while the students, especially first year students, took the opportunity to take pictures in every corner of the Palacio de Aldama.

After lunch, ISSA alumna Anna Usanova participated in a session with the students in which she strongly encouraged them to make the most of every minute of the four years. Among other things, she stressed the importance of languages in the working world and urged the students to take advantage of the language classes they receive at ISSA. 

Afterwards, four fourth year students shared their Erasmus experience in Belgium, Canada and Finland. Each one highlighted the most relevant aspects of the country where they stayed and the students of lower grades took the opportunity to solve doubts. Then, although it was not planned, several international students who are currently on Erasmus at ISSA told their classmates about their international experience.
