Nearly fifty people participated in the Alumni Meeting of ISSA - School of Management Assistants held in Madrid

Two graduates from School shared with the attendees their experience as Executive and staff Assistants of renowned companies.

Nearly fifty alumni of ISSA - School of Management Assistants of the University of Navarra have been given quotation in the Alumni Meeting of the School. The event was held at the headquarters of the ISEM Fashion Business School in Madrid and counted with the testimony of two of its graduates.

The first session was given by Natalia Leña and Juana Molina, Page Personnel recruiters, who analyzed the profile Management Assistant that multinationals are currently looking for. As Natalia Leña said, "the Assistant profile is evolving a lot and we have to adapt, assuming new competencies. This should not scare us, because it will be what allows us to grow. The ability to adapt is fundamental and in this profession you can go wherever you want; there are no limits". For her part, Juana Molina said that Page Personnel's clients "demand decisive people with initiative, which is essential for professional performance at business".

Afterwards, alumni Begoña Torralba (ISSA '91), Executive staff Assistant at Walt Disney and Águeda Fernández (ISSA '05) Executive Assistant at Simon-Kucher and Partners LLC shared with the attendees the professional development that has led them to the top management of these large companies. Torralba pointed out that "any professional experience prior to a definitive employment is very valuable; it all adds up and in the end you can put it on internship, as it is what gives you a solid foundation". She also assured that "although the first work is scary, when I finished studying at ISSA - School of Management Assistants I was ready to go out into the job market". This opinion was shared by Águeda Fernández, who insisted on the need to be proactive at work space.

The session was moderated by Cristhian Mestre, Director of development of ISSA - School of Management Assistants, who valued the workshop in a very positive way: "It is the second year that we celebrate our annual meeting in Madrid and after taking stock, we believe that this activity has been consolidated: there were people who repeated attendance, but most of them were new faces". In addition, after listening to the guest speakers, he assured that "we leave with the satisfaction that companies are demanding ISSA - School of Management Assistants graduates, as Natalia and Juana from Page Personnel assured. In the Management Assistant profession, employment offers have increased B".

At the end, the attendees enjoyed a cocktail-networking in which they were able to share anecdotes and good memories.
