Tecnun's ULMA classroom is created to promote talent

The director of the School, Francis Planes, and the general director of group ULMA, Iñaki Gabilondo, have signed an agreement that reinforces and extends the partnership that both institutions have maintained for years.

On Monday, November 24, the agreement to create the Tecnun ULMAclassroom was signature , which seeks to coordinate, expand and follow up on all the actions that have been developed in recent years with Degree and Master's Degree students, and thus promote the promotion of talent.

The workshop began with a meeting between the general director of the ULMAgroup , Iñaki Gabilondo; the director of the School, Francis Planes; and representatives of both institutions. Afterwards, both placed the plaque with the logo of the business group , which is already displayed at the entrance of the Ibaeta building together with the rest of the institutions with which Tecnun maintains alliances.

For Gabilondo, "this new agreement with Tecnun reinforces our strategic commitment to talent and innovation in the region" and continues by stating that, "for ULMA, collaborating with an academic institution of reference letter not only promotes new lines of knowledge, but also allows us to build, together with future generations of professionals, solutions that provide real value to the Basque industry".

This agreement includes several initiatives aimed at enriching the academic programs and offering new opportunities to students. These include the awarding of a ULMAMaster's Degree scholarship , the award for the best female transcript , the sponsorship the Formula Student Tecnun eRacing team, the organization of visits and the participation of the business in the specialization itineraries through the proposal of a challenge for the student body

This new commitment acquired by both parties is a consequence of the partnership between Tecnun and ULMA for more than 15 years. According to Planes, with this agreement, "the aim is to take another step forward in this partnership, so that ULMA is even more present in the university environment and continues to help students to succeed in their professional degree program ".

Finally, the representatives of the ULMA group visited the facilities and went to the Igara building to see the Haas machinery and the Tecnun eRacing team's work space. There, its Team Leader, Pau Buj, accompanied by several members of the board of directors of the Formula Student team, explained the main challenges of the team and thanked ULMA for signature this new agreement.

In conclusion, Francis Planes thanked the entire ULMA group for "their daily contribution of value to the territory, as well as their strategic vision, which has great benefits for our society".
