Finding new ways to manage our cities and respond to current and future needs in a solvent manner and within the timeframes demanded by society today are some of the challenges posed by the draft bill for the Law on the Promotion and development of the Region (LÍDER) developed by the Community of Madrid. Its presentation held on February 5 at the University of Navarra's headquarters in Madrid.

During the workshop, the main objectives of project were presented: to propose a paradigm shift in the development cities, considering its impact on urban planning, architecture, and real estate. As a novelty, the proposal the role of strategic planning in urban planning in line with the traditional urban approach.
"The preliminary draft focuses mainly on urban planning based on Municipal Strategic Planning, attention to the territory, transparency, and digitization," explains Elena Lacilla, director of Master's Degree Strategy and Real Estate Business at the University of Navarra.
The workshop with a roundtable Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val, Full Professor the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, and Alfonso Vegara, partner Fundación Metrópoli and visiting professor the School.
