Alberto Fernández Bartolomé, new director from development of the School of Medicine

The new manager replaces José María Gutiérrez de Cabiedes, who has served on position since 2012.

The president María Iraburu has appointed Alberto Fernández Bartolomé director of development of the School of Medicine, replacing José María Gutiérrez de Cabiedes, appointed by the committee of Management of the Clinic director executive of the Cancer Center University of Navarra (CCUN).

Alberto Fernández Bartolomé holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Valladolid (2006), Master's Degree in International Trade Management from the UPNA (2011) and PDD from IESE (2019). After developing his professional career in a business of consultancy service, he joined the Service of Admissions Office in 2014, where he developed promotion tasks for Master's Degree in Spain. Subsequently, he moved to area international, where he was manager from 2015. In 2017 he was appointed Deputy Director of the Admissions Office Service and in 2019 Deputy Director of Degree programmes, within the same Service.

The board of the School of Medicine is grateful for the dedication of José María Gutiérrez de Cabiedes during the ten years he has been at the head of the development team. During this time, thanks to his leadership and strategic vision, major milestones of the School have been achieved, such as the launch of the International Program, the increase in national and international students, the design and implementation of the Integrated Curriculum or, more recently, the launch of the "Profesor Jiménez Vargas" scholarships for students from Degree.
