ISSA School of Management Assistants celebrates its Patron Saint's Day
Commemorated the Feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary with an academic session with an investment expert, the competition La Voz de tu School and a foosball tournament.

ISSA School of Management Assistants celebrated on Wednesday, February 20, the Patron Saint's Day, a "different" workshop of academic calendar which commemorates the feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary. On this occasion, the patrons of Schools Law and Economics, with which it shares a building, were also celebrated: St. Raymond of Peñafort and St. Vincent Ferrer, respectively.
The workshop began with a Eucharistic concelebration presided by Don José Manuel Valdés, chaplain of the School Law School, in which he celebrated together with the chaplain of ISSA School of Management Assistants, Don José María Pérez Seoane. The University's Rociero Choir participated with their voices and clapping and the accompaniment of a Spanish guitar and a cajón.
The academic act was the culmination of the morning. Jorge Morán, Vice President of La Finca, told the students, professors and staff of the University the seven blessings and seven curses of Spain and its Economics. He recalled that "much of the success of a country and a business depends on its ability to attract investors" and spoke of "the good and not so good reasons" to invest in the Spanish market.
Among the first Morán highlighted the low crime rates, the reliability of the judicial system and public administrations, a robust and well-regulated financial system, the quality of infrastructure and the lack of concern regarding immigration on the part of citizens, compared to other European countries. According to Morán, Spain has become one of the major investment destinations in the Anglo-Saxon world.
With regard to the causes that hinder investment, in addition to the image of politicians, he referred to political corruption, the precarious working conditions of young people, the over-dimension of low-skilled university graduates, unemployment and irregular immigration.
After two o'clock in the afternoon it was time to share after-dinner conversation with colleagues from School. The menu of choice was pizza and, in the background, the sound of the foosball tables where a lively inter-faculty tournament was played.
From three o'clock in the afternoon the hall of Amigos Building hosted the musicalcompetition "La Voz de tu School", a contest organized by the Museum of the University of Navarra in partnership with Jana Producciones aimed at students from different Schools and centers of the University of Navarra. Two ISSA students participated in the semifinals: María Cristina Marín Gilés, a first year student; and Philippine Lestienne, a student of exchange Erasmus. After this phase, the winners of each center will go on to the final of competition by popular vote and evaluated by a professional jury.
