The School of Nursing of the University of Navarra will train leading professionals in research, advanced practice and management, thanks to the Master's Degree in internship Advanced and management in Nursing. This program takes on a new approach and will be taught at partnership with IESE starting in the 2013-2014 academic year.

Its director, Professor Navidad Canga, emphasizes that this new orientation of Master's Degree arises as a result of the transformation that the health system and health services have undergone in recent years, and with theconviction of the social impact of nursing care and the service it provides to people and society. "Now more than ever, in times of crisis, we believe that it is necessary to promote leaders who can change the organizational culture, and collaborate, along with other professionals, in responding to the increasingly complex health demands of our society," he stresses.

Unique in Spain
The Master's Degree is born at a good time for the nursing profession and for the University of Navarra, since, according to Canga, "in Spain, at present, there are no programs of these characteristics that emphasize both the development of the advanced internship and the research, and its integration in the professional internship , and that combine two professional profiles of nursing: the advanced internship and management".

In his opinion, the union in the same Master's Degree of the advanced internship and the management in Nursing"will create synergies, gears and coordination between both fields of knowledge to achieve two different nursing professional profiles but that work in the most efficient and effective way possible, contributing to the sustainability of the Health System".
