"The important thing is not what you learn, but how you learn it". This was stated at the University of Navarra by Tony Anagor, expert in training of leaders, professor and entrepreneur. His statements were part of the session "My 6+2 great life lessons" that he gave in English to students of the Management Lab of the ISSA School of Applied Management.

During the session, Professor Anagor told them about his childhood, when he felt different and the problems that this posed for him, and how he became who he is today. He also gave the students eight tips for life, all of which were drawn from his own experience:

  • Do your best off the court. Work hard to get the change you want, not because someone tells you to, but for yourself.

  • Find your three people core topic: something or someone you admire; someone you feel good with, can talk to and feel good about; and a third to follow in their footsteps.

  • board How do you articulateyour messages and communicate them to the world?

  • Cultivate the vine. Build your group of masterminds. What is your policy when it comes to maintaining your contacts? Every year clean out contacts that are not part of your group, those that are toxic. Consider what you are going to do to maintain that group that you have selected as your group and that contributes to make you the person you are.

  • Fall in love with learning. "Always learning, always curious." Never stop learning. It is not so important what you are learning but how you are learning.

  • Keep a diary of your thoughts and ideas and keep asking yourself: Where am I personally? Where am I in my family? Where am I professionally? Everything I am and where I am meeting today does not happen by accident. Plan what you want to be.

  • Stay in control of your backpack. Open your backpack and select what weights you want to carry inside to be the person you want to be. Consider which of the things in your backpack bring you in your life.

  • Find yourself, what is your purpose, what is your passion, what is your why? "My reason for being is my eleven year old triplets". Find the why of the person you want to be.
