"From my first day in the department, José Miguel was in charge of transmitting to me the inherent attributes of a university professor . He was very clear about the values and the university style that corresponds to a professor at the University of Navarra, especially the care for details, the effort required to do the tasks well, the affection in the attention staff, and the joy in the day to day", recalls Iñigo Navarro, professor of the Chemistry department and disciple of the deceased.
Navarro describes him as a person who available at all times, who provided a positive work environment, with a characteristic optimism and sense of humor. "He convinced me that with dialogue and his left hand, any door could be opened; empathetic like no one else and at the same time, at the service of all of us. In the final, he preached, in the face of adversity and disagreements, without being noticed, the search for consensual and satisfactory solutions for all. More than a tutor , he was a good companion and friend".
