José Gabriel Vera Beorlegui (Pamplona, 1970), priest and Adjunct Professor of the School of Theology of the University of Navarra, has been appointed new director of the secretariat of the Episcopal Commission for the Media, by the Executive Council of the Spanish Episcopal lecture . He succeeds in the position to the also priest and journalist José María Gil Tamayo, who has held this position for the last 13 years.

José Gabriel Vera Beorlegui is currently director of the Web of the Archbishopric of Pamplona-Tudela and of the Diocesan Weekly La Verdad, as well as episcopal delegate in Popular TV Navarra. He is graduate in Information Sciences, as well as in Philosophy and Theology by the University of Navarra. His pastoral work is also developed as parochial vicar in the parish of El Salvador, in the capital of Navarra and manager diocesan pastoral of the deaf.

The Episcopal Commission for the Media
