Carlos Mata Induráin, secretary of the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra, gave the lecture "Las guerras de Arauco en el teatro español del Siglo de Oro: de los modelos épicos a la comedia y el auto sacramental" during his stay at the Universidad de los Andes in Chile. The professor analyzed a corpus of several aurisecular dramatic pieces that, taking as source of inspiration La Araucana by Alonso de Ercilla, deal with the topic of the conquest of Chile.

Later, he gave another discussion paper at the University of Lagos on the project of the GRISO consisting of the edition of the pieces of subject araucana. The visit served to maintain a meeting of work with the committee of essay of the magazine Alpha, which will soon publish a monographic issue dedicated to colonial literature coordinated by the group of the University of Navarra.
