Elena Poblete inaugurates the exhibitions of the Gothic Gate of the high school Mayor Belagua
13 portraits by the artist Elena Poblete make up the first exhibition of the cycle of the Gothic Door of the high school Mayor Belagua
The artist Elena Poblete Muro is in charge of opening the new cycle of exhibitions of the Gothic Door of the high school Mayor Belagua. 13 portraits are the works that make up the sample and are made from fragments of Poblete's thesis doctoral thesis in Fine Arts. The models are actors, his own children or the members of the tribunal before which he defended his thesis last year at the Complutense University of Madrid. These works make up the first exhibition of the 2014-2015 course at the Puerta Gótica, a contemporary art space opened last year in the high school Mayor.
According to Poblete, his work "focuses on the subject and his emotions, stopping at the fascination of the gaze, capable of capturing attention and transmitting feelings". In this sense, her portraits "transmit life, action, participation through a gaze that challenges and overcomes challenges, a gaze that is potentially active and full of complicity, in a search for dialogue with the viewer whom she intends to catch and involve," the artist points out. "Clear compositions where light and white as a concept represent innocence and daring, hopes and fears, illusions and doubts," she concludes.
The opening, held on Tuesday, September 23, was attended by Carlos Naya, curator of the exhibition, and Javier Casanova, director of high school Mayor Belagua. The entrance to the exhibition is free and will be open to the public from September 23 to October 17, Monday to Friday from 13 to 14 and 19 to 20.
The Gothic GateThe Gothic Door is a project through which the students of the high school Mayor Belagua intend to deepen in the current art world, creating a space for reflection staff that aims to give some keys in a close and simple way. This initiative aims to have a regular presence in the campus of the University of Navarra.
