The offer of postgraduate program of the University of Madrid increases.
In the last four years, the number of Master's Degree programs has increased from 3 to 8.
On October 27th, the University of Navarra will begin to use a second location for the master's degrees offered by the University of Navarra in Madrid. The new premises are located on García de Paredes Street, very close to Zurbano Street, where the ISEM Fashion Business School and the Master's Degrees in Law and Communication are taught. The new premises will host the students of the Master's Degree in Banking and Financial Regulation, which has been offered in the capital since this academic year.
On the other hand, on October 9, the welcoming ceremony for the students of the University of Navarra's master's programs in Madrid for the 2014-2015 academic year took place. The event included a lecture by Javier Sánchez Lamelas, former student of the School of Law and Vice President of Marketing for Coca-Cola in Europe.
"One of the University of Navarra's priorities is to fill in its master's degree offerings, particularly in Madrid, where there is considerable demand," said the Vice President of the Office of Academic Affairs, Borja López-Jurado. In the last four years, the University has increased the issue of master's degrees offered in the capital. "We have gone from three master's degrees in the 2010-11 academic year to eight in the current academic year, 2014-15. It has also grown in the issue of students: from 80 in 2011 to 144 in 2014".
Stable and spacious headquartersVice President López-Jurado pointed out that "in the coming years, the issue of master's degrees in different Schools to be offered in Madrid will continue to grow moderately".
In view of the growth in activity, the University is still looking for a stable and spacious site in the capital. In the words of Igor Errasti, Administrator, " several possibilities are being considered. The option of the building located in the Quinta Torre Arias, a property of the Madrid City Council, located between National Road 2 and Alcalá Street, has been rejected. During the last few months, the University has studied this possibility but has finally decided to discard it".
According to the University Administrator , the decision was influenced by several factors. "The building belonging to La Quinta was an attractive location, especially because of the park's surroundings, but we think that at this time other more economical options can be found in Madrid, which have a simpler management assistant process and which allow us to have larger spaces".
