María Arantzamendi, new researcher of the association European Palliative Care Network

She has also been appointed as an affiliate member of research and Education in Palliative Care Nursing Unit at the University of Ottawa.

María Arantzamendi, professor of the School of Nursing and researcher of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra, has been appointed researcher of the association European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC). She joins the group of research international dedicated to development of the training in nursing of this specialized care in the care of the patient in the last phase of his life.

This research is promoted by Dr. Philip Larkin, Co-Chair of Clinical Nursing at University College Dublin and member of the committee of research and Education of Our Lady's Hopice & Care Services; and Sandra Martins, research expert of the EURO-IMPACT Marie Curie Initial Training Network at VU University Medical Center Amsterdam. The rest of the team consists of experts from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece, Romania, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal.

Researcher at the University of Ottawa

Arantzamendi, professor at department of Nursing Care for Adult Patients, director of the Master's Degree in Palliative Care Nursing and researcher of the Atlantes Program of the ICS of the University of Navarra, has also been named an affiliate member of the research and Education in Palliative Care Nursing Unit of the University of Ottawa, Canada. 

In this group, composed of researchers, educators, physicians and professionals of the attendance health, Arantzamendi will collaborate in the development of programs of study focused on the ethics of the relationships of nurses, with their patients, families and other colleagues, in palliative care and comprehensive care at the end of life.
