The canonist Jorge Miras dedicates his new book to the beauty of the virtue of fidelity.
Professor Jorge Miras, Dean of the School of Canon Law of the University of Navarra, has published a new book, Fidelity to God (Rialp). In it he analyzes the beauty of the virtue of fidelity and its various phases: search, acceptance and continuity in the submission, despite the obstacles. The book is available in paper and digital version.
"Some consider fidelity an interesting ideal, but impossible to attain. Others simply do not attribute any value to it, because they think that everything human is in continuous change. However, we perceive that a deterioration of fidelity devalues and impoverishes humanity itself, stripping it - according to Seneca - of the most sacred good," the author emphasizes.
Jorge Miras holds a doctorate in Law and in Canon Law from the University of Navarra, and is a professor of Administrative Law at School of Canon Law of campus. He is the author of numerous publications in the field of his specialization program and for more than twenty years he has been engaged in pastoral activity among university students.
