A Full Professor of the University, honorary doctor by Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (Peru)

Rafael Domingo, Full Professor of Law, researcher of the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra and Adjunct Professor of Emory University in Atlanta (USA), has been invested honorary doctor by San Ignacio de Loyola University (Peru) in recognition of his professional and academic career. award This same award was previously received by, among others, the Nobel Prize in Literature Mario Vargas Llosa, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the former Prime Minister of Spain, José María Aznar, as well as the journalist Pedro J. Ramírez.

Professor Domingo has also received an honorarydiploma from the congress of Peru for his important contribution to law and his close ties with Peru. In the submission of the accredited specialization, the president of the congress, Luis Iberico, highlighted the "valuable contribution" of Domingo Oslé in his publications and programs of study in relation to global law.

Cultural and social projects in Latin America and Asia

Rafael Domingo is researcher of Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and Full Professor of School of Law, where he was Dean between 1996 and 1999. His research focuses especially on global law, comparative law, Roman Law and fundamentals of law.

He directed Chair Garrigues de Derecho Global from its inception in 2003 until 2009 and was the founder and director of The Global Law Collection of publishing house Thomson Reuters Aranzadi. A member of leading academies and an international lecturer in prominent academic forums, Domingo is currently aFrancisco de Vitoria Senior Fellowat Emory University in Atlanta (USA), where he directs a project of research on religious freedom and global law.

Domingo complements his academic work with the chairmanship of the Maiestas Foundationwhere he coordinates cultural and social projects in Spain, Latin America and Asia. He is the author of more than a dozen books, including The New Global Law (2011) and his new book God and the Secular Legal System (2016), both published by Cambridge University Press.
