Ana Ortega, professor at School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, has been appointed vice-president of committee advisor for the financing of the National Health System's Pharmaceutical Provision.
The committee of Ministers agreed its creation on March 22nd as a collegiate body, of a scientific-technical nature, attached to the competent ministerial body in subject of pharmaceutical provision of the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare. It also stated that the members of committee will be "professionals of recognized prestige, with proven experience and track record in assessment pharmacoeconomics".
It is, therefore, a body responsible for advising on the measures to be taken to improve the criteria and procedures governing the setting of drug financing prices by the National Health System.
