The University of Navarra has launched its Golf Club, aimed at members of the university community (students, alumni and employees) as well as interested athletes.
The new center, which has 40 federated players, joins the other six that currently exist in Navarra: Ulzama, Gorraiz, Zuasti, Fontellas Center, Upna and Pitch&Put de Lizaso.
According to the director of Sports Service of the academic center, Javier Trigo, this Club arises with the goal of"facilitating the internship of golf to students who come to Pamplona from other cities, promote this sport in the university community and encourage the relationship and coexistence between golf players of the University".
Also, within this Golf Club, a competition team has been created to represent the center in different competitions. Javier Trigo states that "it is important for the Club to have a competition team because golf is a competitive sport. The Federation and the courses organize a great variety of tournaments and championships in which the Club wants to be present".
